Student Parking Serves Its Purpose
The Oct. 5 article about the limited parking near Dana Hills High School stated that residents complained about the easy access students had to their cars during school hours as well as their escaping the watchful eye of campus security.
Many students leave school early because they have no fifth or sixth period. This allows them to leave as early as noon during the week.
Residents may think students are ditching school but they are actually leaving at the time they are supposed to.
Also, isn’t the whole point of the parking to allow easy access for students?
Limiting parking will cause more trouble for students who have to drive to school and will only cost the school more money to make parking available for the students.
