10 Teens to Attend Regional Conference

Teens from the Boys & Girls Club of Ventura will attend a regional conference in Santa Clarita from Friday through Nov. 21.
During the three-day event, 10 youths from Ventura’s keystone clubs will meet other teens from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho.
The local youths are Karina Mayorga, Jeremy Litchenberger, Juanita Mayorga, Tyler Colbert, Angela Waites, Allen Stewart, Tanisha Pearson, Lydia Legliu, Angie Padilla and Jason Emahisar.
Keystone clubs, open to teens ages 14 through 18, are designed to promote leadership, community service, education, the arts and sports. Previous community service projects include reforesting in the Santa Monica Mountains, collecting food for Food Share and constructing the annual Haunted Harbor House at Ventura Harbor.
