Lompoc 24, Moorpark 22--The visiting Musketeers rallied for 22 fourth-quarter points, but Bryan Orta’s 31-yard field-goal attempt with five seconds left sailed wide left.
Moorpark quarterback Dylan McLaughlin, who completed 31 of 57 passes for 418 yards, connected on three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Chris Vizzi.
Vizzi caught 10 passes for 217 yards, including scoring receptions of 65, 23 and 15 yards for Moorpark (3-7). Scott Rawlings caught eight passes for 120 yards.
Moorpark closed to within 24-22 and got the ball back with 30 seconds left when Trey Brogdon recovered an onside kick at the Moorpark 48-yard-line.
