Hoover 21, Glendale 10--Quarterback Daniel Shepard rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Tornadoes (2-8, 1-4) at Glendale.
Shepard, who completed two of five passes for 23 yards, rushed for 81 yards in 21 carries, including 70 yards in the second half.
Joshua Witkop of Hoover rushed for 131 yards in 14 carries, including a 55-yard touchdown for his team’s final score.
Armen Dembekjian completed 13 of 26 passes for 133 yards for Glendale (2-8, 0-5), but had two passes intercepted. He threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Eriko Ortiz in the fourth quarter.
Hoover limited Glendale to 40 yards rushing.
