Milken 13, Villanova Prep 4--Karen Kohen hit a grand slam and the Wildcats won in the playoffs for the first time in a Division V first-round game at Milken.
Kohen finished with three hits, including a run-scoring double, and Rachel Lesner and Kim Retting each had three hits and two RBIs for Milken (13-3).
Debi Horowitz (13-3) scattered 11 hits and struck out nine for Milken, the Westside League co-champion.
Montclair Prep 12, Oakwood 0--Allison Winslow had three hits and five RBIs in a Division V wild-card game at North Hollywood Park.
Winslow’s three-run double highlighted a seven-run fifth inning.
Keland Morrow had three hits for Montclair Prep (10-12), which plays a first-round game at Mary Star on Friday.
St. Bonaventure 5, Santa Clara 0--Lyndsi Wilder and Debora Garvin each hit two-run singles in the sixth inning in a Division V wild-card game at St. Bonaventure.
Annie Marostica (11-7) pitched a one-hitter, striking out nine.
St. Bonaventure (14-11) will play Friday at Santa Maria St. Joseph.
Downey 3, Hoover 0--The Tornadoes committed four errors in a three-run fifth inning for Downey (13-9-1) in a Division I wild-card game at Hoover (17-9).
Cori Herbert struck out 10, allowed six hits and walked none for Hoover (17-9).
Marie Caballero had four hits and an RBI for Downey.
