Woman Dies in Fire That Guts Mobile Home

PALMDALE — A woman died in a fire that gutted a mobile home Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Firefighters received a call at 6:29 p.m. directing them to a mobile home park in the 3200 block of East Avenue R, said Diana Aronson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The body was discovered nearly 30 minutes after the fire was extinguished at 6:56 p.m., Aronson said. The woman’s name and age were not immediately released.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
