In an effort to engage politicians in a dialogue about higher education’s legislative agenda, trustees from Rancho Santiago Community College District attended a conference recently in Washington to learn about the government’s education budget policies. Among the important programs to continue to receive funding are the Hispanic-Serving Institutions and Title VI-A educational grants, which will support Orange County’s trade-dependent regional economy. The maximum Pell Grant for economically disadvantaged students will also be increased. Information: (714) 480-7500.
