Fire officials are warning residents about a telemarketing scam in which donations are sought to the Fullerton Fireman’s Fund for a student education program. Chief Stephen P. Magliocco said neither his department nor firefighters authorized any group or person to solicit donations on their behalf. Residents wanting to check the legitimacy of an organization should contact the attorney general’s office at (916) 445-2021 or COBRA, a multi-agency task force, at (714) 542-8825.
