NORTH HOLLYWOOD — Investigators were searching for a man they said snatched a 13-month-old boy from his mother’s home in North Hollywood on Sunday and sped off with the child in a Mercedes-Benz.
The man, who police said was an ex-boyfriend of the toddler’s mother, allegedly abducted the child at 3:40 p.m. in the 6300 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue near Sylvan Street, according to Los Angeles Police spokesman Don Cox.
Police refused to release the identity of the boyfriend. But they described him as a 27-year-old white male, 5 feet 10 and 175 pounds, said Cox. The suspect fled the scene in a tan Mercedes-Benz, Cox said.
