Community Day of Worship

A special community day of worship, recreation, food and discussion will be offered June 27 by Western Avenue Church of Christ in Anaheim.
The church, at 641 S. Western Avenue, is dedicating the free event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to “overcoming social, racial and cultural barriers,” said spokesman Rufus Battle.
The event will be especially important to those seeking explanations for recent teen shootings, Battle said. He invited the public to join in a worship service, prayer meeting and the other events.
