THOUSAND OAKS — A 13-year-old girl diagnosed with a terminal kidney disease is set to receive a computer so that she can complete schoolwork at home.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Tri-Counties is planning to present its gift to Jannett Castaneda of Thousand Oaks on Saturday.
Realtor Bill Nardoni of Coldwell Banker Town & Country in Newbury Park sponsored the teenager’s wish by raising $3,000.
“We will grant whatever a child can imagine with a few stipulations, such as no car,” said Ann Gregory, wish coordinator for the organization that serves children with life-threatening illnesses in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
