The Dedicated Animal Welfare Group is hosting a casino night and silent auction Saturday to raise funds for the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter. Auction items include sports memorabilia, theme park passes, dinner at the Ritz-Carlton and vacations to Santa Barbara, San Diego, Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will be at the Sea Country Community Center, 24602 Aliso Creek Road, Laguna Niguel. The shelter also serves Laguna Niguel. Information: (949) 470-3045.
