As part of a federal grant to provide finances for Orange County homeless programs, Midway City has been awarded $346,719 toward a shelter. Midway City’s share of the $6.8-million grant is for a proposed 40-bed transitional housing project for homeless families recovering from substance abuse. Announcement of the approved grant was made Monday.
