Woman Killed in Home Explosion Is Identified

LA MIRADA — A woman killed in an explosion and fire in her La Mirada home was identified Tuesday as Eleanor Peel, 66.
The fire on Trisha Lane broke out just after 1 a.m. Monday, said supervising fire dispatcher Andrea Hawkins. The cause of the blast is being investigated, although natural gas or Peel’s oxygen cylinder are suspected.
