The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a draft of a General Plan that spells out the future of land development in the city.
The plan, which has been 18 months in the works, is an update to the city’s 1974 General Plan.
The updated plan is intended as a guide for property use and development decisions for the 21st century. It establishes goals and policies related to housing, traffic, public safety, noise and flood plain management.
