Zoning for a proposed hand carwash in North Laguna Beach is up for final review by the City Council tonight.
Plans for the North Coast Highway car wash have been met with intense public scrutiny and opposition from neighbors who do not want increased noise or traffic to affect residential streets.
“There’s a real presumption that we should grant the conditional-use permit, but what are the conditions?” Councilman Steve Dicterow asked. “It is a permitted use--with conditions.”
The council meets at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall at 505 Forest Ave.
