President’s Circle Still Open at CSUCI

Cal State Channel Islands officials say there’s still time to donate $1,000 to become a member of the President’s Circle, a group dedicated to supporting the new university.
More than 130 people have joined the President’s Circle, and Cal State officials hope to reach 150 by the end of the year.
People who join by Dec. 31 will be designated “founding members.” Their names will be engraved on decorative tiles that will highlight a small garden in front of the future library. Members will also be invited to special events hosted by the Cal State University Channel Islands Foundation.
Funds will be used to help develop the new Cal State Channel Islands campus, planned to open on the grounds of the former Camarillo State Hospital in fall 2002. The university will be the 23rd campus in the Cal State University system.
