USC Beats UC Irvine in Women’s Soccer

Freshman forward Jackie Fodor scored two goals, leading USC to a 4-0 victory over UC Irvine in a nonconference women’s soccer game Sunday at the Coliseum.
Junior midfielder Andrea Warner (Dana Hills High) also scored a goal and freshman Jennifer Prigmore had a goal and an assist. Kaylee Whitfield (El Modena) and Megan Orach (Marina) each had assists for USC.
Irvine goalkeeper Sarah Swancott had nine saves as the Trojans (1-0), ranked 24th in the nation, outshot the Anteaters, 30-4.
Irvine (0-1) will play again Wednesday at Cal State Northridge at 7 p.m.
USC hosts the Fila Challenge Sept. 4 and 6.
