Maxine O’Callaghan, T. Jefferson Parker and Theodore Taylor are among the more than two dozen authors who will appear at Books by the Beach III, Sept. 18 at the Festival of the Arts.
O’Callaghan won the 1999 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mystery Writers of America, Parker writes fiction set in Laguna Beach and Taylor has won 11 awards for his young adult novel “The Clay.”
The annual book fair and writer’s forum are presented by the Friends of the Library Foundation to benefit Orange County public libraries.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It costs $5 for adults and is free for children 12 and younger. Information: (949) 497-7053.
