The group governing Leisure World’s co-ops voted Wednesday to fight a proposed increase in its residents’ monthly dues. The Golden Rain Foundation--which manages the gated retirement community’s amenities--voted 9 to 1 to raise dues $5 a month. The foundation is considering building six tennis courts, a multipurpose building and an administration building, said Kirk Watilo, Leisure World’s Community and Government Relations Director. Members of the United Laguna Hills Mutual Board are opposed to the building project and dues increase.
