Kellogg Co. said the general manager of its U.S. cereal business, Fred Jaques, resigned after a yearlong effort to boost sales through promotions that hurt earnings. The 40-year-old Jaques quit, effective immediately, to “pursue other interests,” a spokesman for the world’s largest cereal company said.
