Yankees Settle Lawsuit

Disabled sports fans will have an easier time securing good seats at reasonable prices after the federal government struck an interim deal with the New York Yankees and the city of New York.
The government had joined a private lawsuit that alleged the Yankees and the city had discriminated against the disabled by failing to make the ballpark accessible to those who need special accommodations.
Although the club had offered six price levels for the general public, including $8 seats, it had required those who needed wheelchair seats to pay $26 or $50. The $50 seats were the only ones with unobstructed views.
With the changes, the unobstructed view seats will cost $29 and the rest of the wheelchair and companion seating will be sold for either $8 or $14, depending on the location.

Baltimore first baseman Will Clark sat out his fifth consecutive game because of a sore elbow and could be headed for the disabled list for the second time this season.
