Caring Couple Was Quite a Catch

* On April 8, my 17-year-old, Danny, and his friend were surfing in Oceanside. Danny stepped on a large, rusty fishhook, which became embedded in his right foot.
Luckily, a caring couple (Danny thinks their names are Joan and Rob) were walking along at the time. They helped him to their car, which Joan drove to Tri-Cities Hospital emergency room. Rob followed with the friend (who has no driver’s license) in Danny’s car. They helped get him admitted and waited with the friend until Danny was taken care of, close to two hours.
We live in Tustin. Without the kindness of these strangers, the boys would have been stranded on the beach until I could have driven down.
Thank you to two wonderful people. Yes, there is plenty of good in this world.
