The Sonora High School dance and drill team placed second in two recent championships. The 26-member Raiderette Drill Team finished second at both Miss Drill Team U.S.A. Championship on April 10 and the United Spirit Assn. National Championship on Saturday. The Raiderettes were also the highest scoring California team in both contests. The drill team will perform for the public at the annual Raiderette Drill Team Spring Show at 7:30 p.m. May 13 in the Sonora High School Raider Gym, 401 S. Palm St. Information: (562) 905-9830.
