Camella Jaeger

Orange Coast, Sophomore

Tennis

Jaeger, from Estancia High, dominated the Orange Empire Conference singles tournament. The top-seeded player didn’t lose a set in four matches and lost only 15 games in all, winning the singles title for a second consecutive year. She also won the doubles title with Denise Poirel.

John Cappello

Saddleback, Sophomore

Tennis

Cappello, from Corona del Mar High, improved to 20-0 by winning all five matches in the Orange Empire Conference singles tournament. Cappello, Saddleback’s No. 1 singles player and top seeded in the tournament, defeated teammate Khalid Naffa, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, in the final.
