Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital at Mission are jointly sponsoring a Heart Healthy Families and Kids’ Adventure Race on Sunday. While parents get cholesterol checks, body fat measurements, blood pressure screenings and healthful eating tips, children will be exercising and having fun in various friendly competitions. Children 6 to 13 may participate in the Adventure Race, which will include walking, running, jumping jacks, bicycling and basketball. The free event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hospital, 27700 Medical Center Road. Information or to preregister: (949) 364-1770.
