Double Happiness

While Susan King’s April 11 TV Times cover story on Melinda Kanakaredes and “Providence” was much deserved and nicely written, it mischaracterized the situation as “the happiest place he’s ever worked.”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled to be part of another wonderful show and working with everyone involved in “Providence” proves that lightning can strike twice. But I’d hate to have the family responsible for the extraordinary adventure that was “MASH” think that I had so quickly forgotten what will always be not only a special moment in television history but one of the most important experiences of my life.
