The Conejo Valley Unified School District has been given the “What Parents Want Award” by the nation’s largest education consulting firm.
Supt. Jerry Gross said he was thrilled to learn the Thousand Oaks district was among 14% of the country’s public schools selected for the award given by SchoolMatch, a company that helps corporate employee families find schools that match the needs of their children.
The selection criteria include districts that are competitive in academic test scores, competitive teacher salaries, above-average instructional spending and small class sizes.
The firm maintains information on every public school system throughout the nation and accredited private schools throughout the world.
