The Planning Commission on Tuesday recommended that the City Council approve zoning changes in the proposed Gateway area redevelopment plan. The council could consider that recommendation as early as May, said city Planning Manager Dan Fox.
Although a public hearing would have to be held before the council could vote on the issue, a council decision could be right around the corner, he said. The redevelopment plan, which affects the northeast corner of the city, has been under public scrutiny since January.
