Ice Dogs Lose to Thunder in Shootout

Taj Melson scored the winning goal in a sudden death to help the Las Vegas Thunder defeat the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 3-2, at Las Vegas.
Long Beach’s Mike Matteucci scored late in the third period to tie the score, 2-2, and goalie Ryan Bach stopped a shot by the Thunder at the buzzer to force the game into a shootout.
