Pacific Bell named Melba Muscarolas regional president for Los Angeles, succeeding Carmen Nava, who held that position for the last two years before moving to a job with PacBell parent SBC Communications. The changes took effect April 1.
Muscarolas joined PacBell, the state’s largest local phone company, in 1987 as a media relations manager and was most recently vice president of PacBell’s Diverse Markets Group. In her new position, she will direct the phone company’s external affairs in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
SBC named Nava president of its employee training center in Irving, Texas.
