A longtime city resident known for her flower paintings will have her work exhibited to benefit Temple Beth Ohr, 15721 Rosecrans Ave., La Mirada. The temple will host the April 17 exhibit of the works of Carol Goldmark, who specializes in painting flowers against shadows, clouds and open skies. Goldmark says she sees the flowers as “metaphors of mortality placed in an unearthly setting, which endows them with a spiritual essence.” Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
