A 69-year-old Garden Grove man was killed Saturday when the car he was driving in Santa Ana was broadsided by another vehicle, authorities said.
Two men in the second car fled the scene and have not been caught, Santa Ana Police Lt. Bob Chavez said.
The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of West Warner Avenue near Flower Street. The man died at Coastal Communities Hospital. His identity was withheld pending notification of his family.
His wife, who was a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries and was taken to another hospital, Chavez said.
The accident is under investigation, he said.
