Coin Flips Go the Angels’ Way

From Associated Press

The Angels won a coin toss with Texas for the right to be the home team for a one-game playoff in the event of a tie for the AL wild-card berth. All one-game playoffs would be Sept. 28.

If Boston ties the Angels for the wild card, that playoff also would be at Anaheim. A playoff between the Red Sox and the Rangers would be at Fenway Park.

If the Blue Jays and Angels tie, that game would also be at Anaheim.

In the National League, the New York Mets were winners in the NL flips and would be home if they tie either the Chicago Cubs or San Francisco Giants.
