Moorpark 21, Nordhoff 12--Junior running back Art Lopez rushed for 115 and two touchdowns in 19 carries to lead the defending Southern Section Division X champions at Nordhoff.
Lopez scored on one-yard runs late in the third quarter and early in the fourth quarter to give Moorpark a 21-6 lead.
Nordhoff took a 6-0 halftime lead on a 34-yard touchdown run by quarterback Brandon Titus, who added a one-yard touchdown run with 1:26 remaining in the game.
Art Garcia rushed for 79 yards in 19 carries and scored on a 20-yard run midway through the third quarter to help Moorpark take a 7-6 lead.
Nordhoff’s Joey Briglio rushed for 86 yards in 18 carries.
