Rowe’s Goals Key Fullerton Women to Victory

Kristen Rowe scored two goals to lead Fullerton to a 5-0 victory over Cerritos in nonconference women’s soccer Tuesday at Fullerton College.
Tanya Miglino, Victoria Valla and Griselda Rumbo scored for the Hornets (2-2), who scored four second-half goals. Cerritos is 0-2.
It was Fullerton’s first home game since the death of teammate Vanessa Galvan. Fullerton started the game with a moment of silence and a player down, to honor Galvan, who died Aug. 29.
In other nonconference women’s soccer:
Cypress 9, San Bernardino Valley 0--Jane Specht and Lisa Hermen each scored three goals to lead host Cypress (5-0-1).
Holly Sanders had 15 saves for San Bernardino (0-3).
Santa Ana 3, Moorpark 2--Forward Carrie Steinmeyer scored all three goals for Santa Ana, including the winning goal with two minutes left in the game.
Gabby Lagunas assisted on two of the goals and Carolina Arroyo had 12 saves for Santa Ana (2-4-1).
Moorpark is 3-1-2.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
El Camino 4, Orange Coast 2--Luis Cortez scored three goals to lead visiting El Camino (2-0).
Down, 2-0, Orange Coast (0-1-1) rallied to tie the score, 2-2, on goals by Mugbel Alunzi and Ramon Garcia. Steve Smith and Naoshi Murase each had three saves for Orange Coast.
