Meeting to Address Housing Renovations
The Los Angeles Housing Department will hold a community meeting today with Ficket Corridor residents at which a number of neighborhood improvement projects will be discussed.
Using city funds through the Targeted Neighborhood Initiative, which allocates $3 million over a three-year period, residents and housing officials will decide what renovation projects will be undertaken, project coordinator Phil Orozco said Tuesday.
The Ficket Corridor borders Soto Street to the west, Mott Street to the east, Wabash to the north and Cesar Chavez Avenue to the south. It is among 12 neighborhoods targeted by the initiative for projects such as home loans, street lighting and tree plantings, Orozco said.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Malabar Library, 2801 Wabash Ave.
