CorVel Corp., an Irvine provider of managed care services, reported record earnings for the second fiscal quarter as revenue rose 17%. Net income for the three months rose 8% to a record $2.6 million, or 62 cents a share, from $2.4 million, or 55 cents a share, for the comparable quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was up, to $40.5 million from $34.7 million.
