Federal Lawmakers OK New Premier

The federal parliament approved Momir Bulatovic, a protege of President Slobodan Milosevic, as the new premier. In doing so, the hard-liners who control both chambers of parliament ignored protests from Montenegro, the tiny republic that, along with Serbia, makes up Yugoslavia. Lawmakers also approved a new Cabinet named by Bulatovic, who replaces Radoje Kontic, a Montenegrin ousted by Milosevic allies.
