Police who found the body of a woman in her Anaheim apartment late Sunday said she was apparently the victim of a homicide.
Officers discovered Irene Margarete Ruelaz, 41, in her apartment in the 1700 block of West Ball Road at 7:10 p.m., Lt. John L. Haradon said. Relatives had reported her missing April 28.
Haradon said that Ruelaz appeared to have been dead for several days and that evidence at the scene indicated foul play, though the exact cause of death had not been determined. The investigation is continuing, officials said.
