Jodi Schicker of Mater Dei has orally committed to play softball at New Mexico State, Monarch Coach Doug Myers said. Schicker, 18, is an outfielder. A four-year starter, Schicker was voted to the South Coast League all-league second team last season.

John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Bjorn Borg and Yannick Noah will compete in The Challenge tennis tournament June 18-21 at The Palisades Tennis Club in Newport Beach.
