Ed Hogan was named the 1997 Salesperson of the Year by the Hawaii chapter of Sales and Marketing Executives. Hogan is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Pleasant Travel Service in Westlake Village.
His firm is the parent company of Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, also based in Westlake Village.
* El Tropico in Thousand Oaks has named Jesus “Chuy” Loza general manager and sales manager. The company, in its second year of operation, expects to market 3 million boxes of Mexican mangoes this year.
* S. Blake Wade has joined the Ventura law firm of Ferguson, Case, Orr, Paterson & Cunningham. Besides being an attorney, Wade has been a real estate broker in Ventura County for 20 years.
She will specialize in unlawful detainer litigation and landlord/tenant disputes.
