South San Francisco-based Galoob Toys Inc. said it had a fourth-quarter loss on slow sales of its mainstay “Star Wars” Micro Machines toys. Galoob had a loss of $2.87 million, or 16 cents a diluted share, compared with net income of $12.9 million, or 74 cents, a year ago.
* Pasadena-based Ameron International reported record fourth-quarter net income of $1.6 million, or $1.48 per share, compared with $4.6 million, or $1.16, in the year-earlier quarter.
* Los Angeles-based Sport Chalet Inc. reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $2.2 million, or 34 cents per diluted share, compared with $1.7 million, or 26 cents, a year ago.
