The Recreation, Parks and Community Services Department hopes to hire three part-time basketball coaches within the next two weeks. The coaches will train girls and boys ages 6 to 13 at youth basketball clinics. In addition, department officials expect the coaches to be able to deal calmly with parents.
The job hours would be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The coaches could begin their jobs as early as Jan. 18.
