Toy Donors Offered Free Bagels, Coffee

Looking for a way to warm your heart and fill your stomach at the same time?
The Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn. has organized a toy drive where donors can drop off new, unwrapped toys at Noah’s New York Bagels on Saturday. In exchange, they will enjoy free bagels and hot coffee.
The group will give the toys to the county’s Department of Children and Family Services for distribution, said Richard Close, president of the association.
Presents for teenagers, such as hand-held video games and music store gift certificates, are especially needed, Close said.
People may bring gifts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to Noah’s, 14622 Ventura Blvd.
