Taking out the trash will take on new meaning Saturday thanks to the city-sponsored Clean Up Day. The city, in conjunction with USA Waste, will set up large trash containers at various locations so that residents can toss items that can’t be picked up on regular trash days. Collection hours will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at these locations: City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd.; Descanso Park, 170 N. Fonda St.; La Bonita Park, 231 Montwood Ave.; Oeste Park, 2300 W. Lambert Road; and Vista Grande Park, 1100 W. Lambert Road. Information: (562) 905-9700.
