Pitcher Nick Neugebauer, one of Cal State Fullerton’s top baseball recruits, said he has agreed to terms with the Milwaukee Brewers for a $1-million signing bonus. He said he plans to sign the contract Monday.
Neugebauer, who pitched last season for Riverside Arlington High, said the agreement calls for him to receive an additional $100,000 for college.
Neugebauer was drafted in the second round, the 56th pick overall.
The Titans also lost another pitching recruit to professional baseball this summer when Heath Bell of Santa Ana College signed with the New York Mets. Bell is pitching for the team’s Class-A team in Kingsport, Tenn.
