SEASON AT A GLANCE: The left-hander, a Times’ All-Valley selection last season, is 8-2 with 101 strikeouts and a 0.26 earned-run average in 79 innings. She is batting .362 with two home runs and 12 runs batted in. She’s one reason the Rebels figure to battle for the Golden League title.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Cox dominated the first three rounds of the High Desert tournament and entered the championship game Monday night with 18 consecutive shutout innings. Cox allowed only eight hits in blanking Apple Valley, 3-0; Louisville, 12-0 and Arcadia, 9-0. Earlier in the week, Cox defeated Ridgecrest Burroughs, 5-1.
