Tobacco Tax Break

Your Sept. 12 editorial criticizing the tobacco tax break for cigarette manufacturers did not go nearly far enough! When the president of the United States and 78% of the Senate try to give away $50 billion of taxpayers’ money to secure favors from big business it certainly requires more than a mere slap on the wrist. As a taxpayer and a citizen of this country I find it appalling that this type of conduct is not severely punished.

The worst four-letter word in the English language cannot compare to the word “politician.”
