* You have reported on AB303, which would allow cities to join a study which might lead to splitting Los Angeles County into two or more counties, and the efforts of San Fernando Valley residents to break away from Los Angeles. No one seems to have mentioned the possibility that the Valley might enjoy having its own local county, as well as city, government. Now that our county has a population larger than all but a few states, and many foreign countries, it is time to look at how local government should be shaped as we go into the 21st century.
